Extremely Disappointing Experience with GPS Decor - Avoid at All Costs!
I had the misfortune of hiring GPS Decor, specifically Kulpreet and Mr. Gill, for my sister's event, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Not only did they overcharge us, but the decoration was not close to the price they charged. While they delivered everything that was put on the contract, the explanation of each item in the contract to execution was far different. They literally re-purposed the decorations they already have used many times for other events, while they gave us the vision that this will be extraordinary.
The theme for Sangeet function discussed was Arabian Nights, they brought centre pieces, glittery shimmery curtains, and a swing. They through a huge fit to actually put up the proper Arbabian Night looking green mesh behind the swing while that was the only thing closely to our theme they brought. We paid other vendors to create Payal/Choodiyan stations, tents, vinyl, stages and extra. They were not provided by GPS, however the cost was incredibly more than what was discussed.
The wedding, was so under decorated, they promised canopy on top of the chairs to give our guest shade which was not delivered, and the actual aisle for bride and groom to walk was not raised as promised, there were very little flowers on the aisle.
They used some LEDs for reception which looked nice, overall they under delivered so much and overall felt complete waste of money.
While Kupreet and Mr.Gill were incredibly nice during initial talks. On the day of the event Kulpreet and Mr. Gill were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They gave so much attitude and walked off the venue. Their behavior was appalling; they pointed fingers at me, the client, instead of taking responsibility for their lack of preparation and execution.
The decor itself was a disaster. What little they did manage to set up was poorly done and looked nothing like the vision we had discussed. It was clear that they were cutting corners and trying to get away with the bare minimum while charging exorbitant fees.
This experience ruined what should have been a joyful occasion, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did with these so-called "professionals."
In addition they really have been in the industry for a while, they know how to cut corners and ruin guest experiences, in addition they pay off wedding planners, so the wedding planners are constantly on their side. The wedding planners are more worried to keep their relations in tact with GPS as they know they will get money from them. Hence, they barely try and help you out.
We worked with GPS Decor for our wedding at Terrace on the Green, and they delivered exactly what we envisioned. We wanted fairy lights to bring a warm, romantic feel to the space, and they absolutely nailed it.
Sejal was a pleasure to work with—responsive, helpful, and made the process completely stress-free. GPS coordinated directly with the venue for the installation, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. When we arrived on our wedding day, the lights were beautifully set up and the entire look was exactly what we had hoped for.
We’re so happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend GPS Decor to anyone looking to elevate their event with stunning lighting and decor!
